Purple Rose Theatre Company

Recognized nationally, over half a million theatergoers have attended since Jeff Daniels founded the Purple Rose Theatre in 1991. It attracts talents like Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, Lanford Wilson; popular author, Mitch Albom; and comedian/writer Steve Martin, and has been honored by the National Endowment for the Arts, American Theatre Critics Association, and Shubert Foundation. The Rose develops new plays and is home to theatre professionals, while it’s a training ground for young artists. No theatre is more dedicated to the new American play than the Rose. If you haven’t visited, you don’t know what you’re missing. Come celebrate life.
