The Mead School

Founded in 1969, The Mead School is Fairfield County’s premier progressive school serving children from preschool through the eighth grade. A full day child care program serves infants to five years of age. The school exists to nurture in each child the power to create a personally meaningful life. Ideas and discoveries are embraced in an empowering community that celebrates excellence and effort through a rich curriculum of academics and the arts. The school gives children a chance to be learners, communicators and leaders within the academic and social environs of the school. The belief of the school is that the uniqueness in each child deserves to be honored.
